Skeet field electrical damage-IMPORTANT!
Notice to all members:
Recent damage to the skeet fields are A VERY IMPORTANT REMINDER THAT IT IS CRITICAL TO UNPLUG BOTH THE POWER AND CONTROL CABLES when you shut down the fields after shooting. Coastal NC has one of the highest lightning strike risks on the entire east coast and we just had five skeet fields damaged from a lightning strike last Saturday.
We had structural damage and four electronic control boards that had to be repaired. Also, the #7 trap of the 5 stand field is still without a plug in power source, but the new power source is in and will likely be operational early next week. If you have any questions about the proper procedure for using and putting away any of the equipment or controls, please contact Dave Ernst for further instruction. Thank you.
