Matches are open to BGC members and their registered guests. All guest match fees must be paid by the BGC host member. Cowboy Fast Draw L.L.C. is the newest and oldest shooting sport today. It is a timed sport using single action .45 caliber western style six shooters, shot by contestants in full cowboy regalia using old west aliases like “Dead Eye Dan”. The Cowboy Fast Draw Association is about “safety first, fun second, and competition third.” It’s about hand shakes, camaraderie, a man’s word, morality and friendship, fair play and honest competition. Our credo is “The Cowboy Way in action and deed”. The .45 colt, shot with wax bullets is the only caliber allowed in Cowboy Fast Draw. Historically, the Colt Peacemaker was introduced in .45 colt and that is what the sport is based upon.
