Benefit Skeet Shoot for New Hanover Regional Medical Center a Big Success

Buccaneer Gun Club has a history of supporting southeastern NC community organizations like the Boy Scouts, JROTC chapters, local law enforcement agencies, and New Hanover Regional Medical Center. Last year they hosted a very successful skeet shoot raising money for the Hospice Foundation in Wilmington, and this year they once again joined forces with the hospital and stepped up to put on a big “Shoot for the Loot” fundraiser benefitting the NHRMC’s Cameron Women’s and Children’s Center. Expertly led by BGC Board of Directors member David Ruehle, 18 Buccaneer members provided all of the logistical set-up and volunteers to run the mechanics of the shoot. With over 100 participants, those in attendance were very happy with their day at the range and everything went off without a hitch. Partnering with local businesses like Rodger’s Builders and Sportsman’s Warehouse, the shoot offered great prizes and swag for the participants and the event raised over $43,000.00 for families in need of care at the center.
