WE NEED YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS: Please send your e-mail address to the Secretary (ccaasmfc@cs.com), it is cheaper to send the newsletter that way, plus you will get club notices and For Sale items faster. In addition, I have about 2 dozen e-mail addresses that are now undeliverable, if you used to get your newsletter via e-mail and do not now, please send in your new e-mail address.
TURN IN YOUR OLD CLUB KEY: We need your old key, please leave it in the clubhouse next time you come out to the club. There will be a can marked “Old Keys” in the club house for this purpose.

END OF UNAPPROVED MINUTES for the 4/10/06 Meeting.
NEED HELP WITH NRA BIG BORE PISTOL SILHOUETTE MATCH
I am going to need some help for the match. I will need four people a day to help me. The dates are May 26, 27, 28, and part of day on 29. They can get work day credit for the work. Tom Mix 763-0870 lp919@bellsouth.net
New Skeet Account System: In order to reduce the burden on club volunteers, starting this year you will no longer receive a skeet account statement via mail or email. Instead your account will be posted in the middle skeet house (where the skeet log books are) and you can see how much you have in your account at the end of each quarter. You still have to log in the rounds you shoot in the notebooks, but your account statement will no longer be sent to you. You are responsible for keeping up with your skeet account and making sure it never goes into the red.
APRIL NRA ACTION PISTOL MATCH (Sholar Powell)
We had a sparse turnout for the first match of the year; 2 shooters to be exact. Seems that most of our regulars had conflicts with family events, match gun in pieces, etc. So we turned this into a ‘fun’ shoot, basically for practice and burning ammo. Ray C. and David Ruhle, Jr. smoked up the plates and got some trigger time in. We’ll run again on Sunday, May 28 at 12:00 noon. Hope to see you then.
APRIL SKEET SHOOT
The April Club Skeet Shoot took place on the ninth. The weather was not at all like Spring. A strong cold wind was blowing for the entire time. We have, of course, seen colder and stronger wind at the skeet fields, but probably not in April. Sunny McHenry supplied us with a large plate of delicious brownies. We were cold and wind blown, but we did not go hungry.
Ten skeet shooters participated. The winners were: New shooter class - Larry Coble 38, Class F- Larry Moore 19, Class E - Bobbie McHenry 38, Class D - Lewis Carlton 37, Class C - Chuck Gambino 46, Class B - Jeff DeSantis 45, and Class A - Dick Brame (who seemed not to notice the wind) 50.
After the skeet shooting we shot trap, not for a contest, but for the record. We will continue to do this each month until we have enough scores to establish trap classes. We will then offer both a skeet and a trap contest each month. Shooters may enter either or both of the contests. The conclusion reached from the trap scores is that a lot of practice is seriously needed.
Come out and join us in May for skeet and/or trap. We are having a lot of fun. Remember that in May, because of Mother’s Day, we will meet on the third Sunday i.e. May 21.
COWBOY MEETING
A short meeting of Buccaneer Gun Club members who shoot in the cowboy action
matches (Buccaneer Range Regulators) or those who might be interested in
cowboy action shooting will be held immediately following this months
Buccaneer Gun Club meeting on May 8th.

Headline: Silverado Releases New Songbook
Not many people know it but Silverado is a very accomplished harmonica player and song writer (must have been practicing on them lonely nights out on the range). The problem is that all the songs he writes will tell you exactly what sort of mood he was in when he writes his songs. See if you don't get a hint that he was having woman problems when he put out his latest book of songs. What follows is a list of his current titles......
It's Hard To Kiss The Lips At Night That Chewed Your Ass Out All Day Long
If I Can't Be Number One In Your Life Then Number Two On You
How Can I Miss You If You Won't Go Away
I Liked You Better Before I Got To Know You So Well
I Still Miss You Baby But My Aims Getting Better
I Wouldn't Take Her To A Dog Fight Because I'm Afraid She'd Win
I'm So Miserable Without You, It's Like You're Still Here
If I'd Shot You When I First Wanted To, I'd Be Out Of Prison By Now
My Wife Ran Off With My Best Friend And I Sure Miss Him
She Got The Ring And I Got The Finger
You're The Reason Our Kids Are So Ugly
Sounds to me like we'll be seeing some of those on the Banjo Top Ten pretty shortly.........
Match Director Holliday was off trying to find a shooting sport he's good at so Ragtime Kid, with some help from the Buccaneer Posse, put on a six stage two posse match that had 15 cowboys and one cowgirl in attendance.......The action pistol range was used for three stages and it will be used again for the May match which will also be six stages.......Ragtime plans to put the stages on his websight www.ragtimekid.com so you can look at them in advance.....You can also see a breakdown of the stage scores for the April match......
Scores went like this:
Senior Cowboys Traditional First Flight Traditional Second Flight
Ragtime Kid Mad Dog Marshall
Titewad High Noon Henry Shakey Jake
Dodge City Dude Headmaster Bourbon Shooter
Stalker Deacon Dave Silverado
Gun Fighter -------Blue Ridge Davidson
Cowgirl ------------Carolina Rose
Duelist -------------Cowboy Cloud
Well that's it for the April match so be with us on the Second Saturday in May and we'll do it again.........
Don't forget that were working on a Valiant Bullet Order (and you don't have to be a club member to participate) so call Ray and he'll give you details at 520-4822........
So till we see you in May don't forget to................"Take A Kid Shooting"
Respectfully Submitted..........Ned Bluntline
