BGC 3 Gun Match
Well the 3gun match is now history and I think everyone had a blasting good time.....We had 14 shooters show up and we shot 3 classes.....The open class is pretty much unlimited as far as equipment goes, if you've got it you can use it....The tactical class limits equipment to what a tactical situation might call for.......The Limited class is very limited equipment and to do good in Limited class really calls for skill because you can't have optics such as the other two classes.........The scores went like this:
Open Class total time
Jay Della Bella 88.05
Don Pelling 103.49
Ray Jackson 144.88
David Ruehle 247.18
Ray Campbell DNF (did not finish....Rifle puked)(Twice)
Tactical Class
Joe Singerline 134.65
Cosby Thomas 135.49
Matt Hearn 224.74
John Renfrow 243.05
Lon Layton 311.81
Limited Class
Gehrig Austin 193.07
Benjamin Smith 206.90
Jeff Desantis 216.02
Darris Ehrenfeld 297.74
Kash Harrison 390.66
Thanks to all who participated and maybe we’ll do it again sometime.....Ray
BUCCANEER RANGE REGULATOR GAZETTE
Regulator Gazette Novenber 1897
Headline: Reverend U.B. Goode Passes Away
An old Cowboy
pastor was dying. He sent a message for his Accountant and his
Lawyer to come to the hospital.
When they arrived they were ushered to his room.
As they entered the room, the pastor held out his hands and motioned for
them to sit on each side of the bed. The pastor grabbed their hands,
sighed contentedly, smiled, and stared at the ceiling.
For a time, no one said anything.
Both the Accountant and the Lawyer were touched and flattered that the old
pastor would ask them to be with him during his final moments. They
were also puzzled because the pastor had never given any indication that
he particularly liked either one of them.
Finally the Lawyer asked, "Pastor, why did you ask the two of us to come
here?"
The old pastor mustered up some strength, then said weakly, "Jesus died
between two thieves on the cross, and that is how I want to go to my
Lord too."
The November match at the Buccaneer range was the last one for this year so we made it a little more special by having a picnic at the conclusion of the match.......The chicken and fixin’s were furnished by that famous cook "Bojangles"........
We decided to have the Buccaneer Regulator matches on the second Saturday of each month starting with the January match so put it on your calendar....
Scores went like this....
Traditional Traditional Second Flight Duelist Cowgirl
Ragtime Kid Duke Remington Pard Picket Carolina Rose
Colonel Case Hardin Marshal Cowboy Cloud
Bullseye Mike Whispering Bill
Rocky Point Rebel Bourbon Shooter
Little Mix
Well that's it for this
year so be sure to join us the "Second Saturday" of each month so until
then......Don't forget to "Take a kid shooting".......Respectfully
Submitted....Ned Bluntline
